In WhatsApp friends can be recognised very quickly on the basis of a profile picture. Not only that, usually the Avatar is used as the current life status. The profile picture appears usually only in the small chat window of WhatsApp. Since the size of this profile picture is very small you may ask the following question:
How can I show the WhatsApp profile pictures of my contacts in full size?
This works unfortunately a bit cumbersome, but it works. We show in our paper, how you can enlarge WhatsApp Profile Pictures on a Android smartphone. Proceeds as follows:
Open WhatsApp and then the contact from which your want like to view a larger photo. In the WhatsApp chat window tap in the top right at the three-point icon and in the menu that opens "Show contact". You now see the contact info, in which the profile picture can be seen at the top left. Tap on this and you can see the profile picture in full size.
