You can easily create a screenshot in Windows 10. By pressing the Windows key and the Print Screen key simultaneously which is then saved as a PNG image file.

You now perhaps wonder: "Where does Windows 10 save the Screenshot?"

We want to briefly answer in this article the question:

All screenshots that you created in Windows 10 with the above-mentioned key combination are stored in this directory path:

  • C:\\ Users \ Your Name \ pictures \ screenshots

Open the Windows Explorer and then open the above mentioned directory folder.

You know now where Windows 10 saves screenshots that are created with the key combination "Windows key + Print Screen key".

Hi,
You can try Paste to File, it takes the screenshot from your clipboard and generates a temporal file. The application is in the Windows Store

Not universally true - dropbox modifies this to its own screenshot folder - hence into the cloud with who knows what lack of security...
