Samsung Galaxy S5 How to reject unknown calls automatically

If you often receive calls from an unknown number on your Samsung Galaxy S5, then this can be annoying in the long run. For this reason, there is the possibility of rececting unknown calls automatically in Android. We describe you now where you can find the setting to block unknown numbers on your Samsung Galaxy S5.

Open from the homescreen of your Samsung galaxy S5 the menu and then the Settings. Here you will find in the section "Applications" the button "Call". Tap this  and then navigate in the menu next to "call rejection".

Tap at first "Auto Reject Mode" and checke in the new window, if "Auto reject numbers" is activated. If it is not marked yet, activate it now.

As next step go to "Auto Reject List", which now gives you the opportunity to put numbers on the so-called blocking list for calls. You already find here an entry with "Unknown". Set the flag in the checkbox behind it in order to automatically reject incoming calls on your Samsung Galaxy S5 received by unknown callers. That's it.

Now, if you get a undefined call on your Samsung Galaxy S5, then it is automatically rejected.

This only blocks "unknown" numbers as defined as blocked incoming calls. It does NOT mean phone numbers not in your contact list. This only blocks numbers that dial you as blocked numbers, meaning caller is hiding their number. We need a feature that blocks all VOIP calls, or rather throws them into voice mail. If they are spammers they will not leave a message.

It used to work before I accepted the Samsung upgrade that forever flashes on my screen. A user has to write down the spam number then enter it into the nocall list. I'm getting hit 10 times a day with spam calls. Why not keep it simple and easy like it was prior to upgrade? Please return to where a user can just hold the spam number and the block call icon appears.

This is not correct. My settings are exactly as you say, but I keep getting calls from unknown numbers. They show up as "unavailable" when they ring, but as "unknown" on my call log.

No it doesn't. I STILL get calls from numbers I have blocked. Even if I undo, and redo the rejection. Especially 087 numbers

Thank you. I'm starting to get political propaganda and survey calls. It's nice to be able to stop them.
