Samsung Galaxy S7 app does not download - Download Pending

If you download an app on your Samsung Galaxy S7, it may happen that the app is not downloaded and the message "Download Pending" is permanently displayed.

The error is usually caused by the option "Disable background data" in the Android system settings. Therefore, you should turn off this option on your smartphone. This works as follows:

Open the settings and then "Data usage". In this Android sub-menu, you will find the "Background data" option. In this submenu, the controller must now be switched from "Off" to "On". If you now open the Google Play Store, you will have to cancel the app download.

Then restart it again. The download will now be done as usual. You now know what to do if the download of an app is not continued through the Google Play Store.

bill cycle
wifi data usage

Where you are in Data Usage, just above Mobile data, check if you have Data saver turned on. If so, turn it off. You might have to restart your phone, but give the Play Store a try before doing that.

For S7, you first have to go to "Connections" before you get to Data Usage
