If you do not you have an active internet connection on your smartphone? Unfortunately, only the reset to factory settings helps. This means that all data will be erased and the Android system will be reinstalled. This is especially bad if you do not have backup of your data.

But as already said, unfortunately it does not help anything else. Below is the guide to reset the Samsung Galaxy S8 if you do not remember your pin or pattern.

First, the smartphone must be turned off. If this is not the case, because the pin or pattern is also queried here, then proceed as follows: Press and hold at the same time:

  • Power On / Off
  • Bixby
  • Volume-down button

The device now restarts. Once the reboot starts, you need to press the following buttons at the same time:

  • Power On / Off
  • Bixby
  • Volume up

This will now conjure the recovery menu on your screen. The navigation in the recovery menu works as follows:

  • Volume down --> scroll down
  • Volume up --> scroll up
  • Power On / Off -> select entry or confirm selection

Now select "Wipe Cache / Factory Reset". Follow the instructions on the display and complete the process. All data is now deleted on the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Then Android is new installed on the system and you can set up your S8 again. You now know the method to perform when the Samsung Galaxy S8 can no longer be unlocked because the pin, pattern or password has been forgotten
