If you want to connect your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to the PC via USB cable and synchronize data with Samsung Kies, then it may happen that you do not get any connection. If this is the case for you, then you should consider the following trick. With this trick you can establish a connection between your phone and PC with high probability.
The trick is to activate the so-called USB debugging. After enabling this setting, it is then possible to connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Samsung Kies – Give it a try.
How to enable the USB Debugging on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4:
First, you must activate the so-called developer options. Therefore navigate from the Home screen of your smartphone to Apps and then to Settings. Tap within the settings on the button "Device Information". It will now be shown a small list, in which you can find different information’s about the smartphone and also the information "build number". With this entry you can now enable developer mode in Android. Tap several times in rapid succession on the "build number" entry until you see on the screen that the developer options have been unlocked. The unlock will happen after about seven times touching the entry.
You now have taken the first step to enable the USB Debugging on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Now open the developer options in Menu -> Settings -> Developer Options
In the next submenu, you can now find in the list, "USB Debugging". Set a hook in the checkbox to activate the mode. When you connect your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with the USB cable and your PC, then the debug mode is started automatically.
It should now be possible to get a connection between the PC and Samsung Kies and your Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
