The eye icon on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 always flashes if you look at the screen and the function "Smart Stay" is enabled. If Smart Stay is enabled, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 screen remains active as long as you watch on it.
If the sensor detects your face and your eyes then the display will remain active. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the settings of your device. We will now show you how to deactivate the function "Smart Stay" and to hide the eye icon in the status bar.
To do this, open on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from the home screen the app menu and navigate to the settings. As next step tap on "Display".
Now scroll down until you see the menu item "SmartStay". Remove the check mark and then the function will be disabled on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
This will now ensure that the flashing eye icon is no longer visible in the status bar of your Samsung Note 4.
