Samsung Galaxy S5 How to perform a soft reset - Solved

On the Samsung Galaxy S5, it may happen that due to a malfunction of an app the display freezes. If the so-called screen "Freeze" occurred, no more actions can be made via the touch screen of your smartphone. This is of course very unfavorable, since no input via the touch screen of the Samsung Galaxy S5 can be made.

For just such a situation the opportunity was created to perform a so-called soft reset. With the soft reset, you can turn off the Samsung Galaxy S5 and reboot it, even if the phone does not react via the touch screen or the hardware buttons.

We show you how to perform a soft reset on the Samsung Galaxy S5:

Press and hold for about 10 seconds the power on/ off button. The smartphone will now turn off and then gets restarted. Subsequently, all functions should work again as usual.

You know now how to perform on the Samsung Galaxy S5 a soft reset when no more touch inputs can made on the device.
