Samsung Galaxy S5 becomes very hot after Android update Lollipop - solution

If you have upgraded the Samsung Galaxy S5 to the new Android Lollipop firmware, then it may be that your smartphone becomes very hot when you have it in operation. This can happen during browsing the Internet, but also in the navigation menu, playing apps etc. The heat at a low load of the processor is not normal and has most likely to do with the update to Android lollipop. To turn off this unnatural generated heat at your Samsung Galaxy S5, you have to perform the following actions:

1. Perform a so-called Wipe cache partition

The Wipe cache partition fixes many small errors at your Samsung Galaxy S5 after an update to Android Lollipop. This includes the development of heat at low workload. A Wipe cache partition can be carried out as follows:

Switch off as first thing your Samsung Galaxy S5. Wait until it is completely turned off. Now you have to press the following keys to start the phone on again:

• Power On / Off
• Volume up
• Home button

If the Samsung Galaxy S5 vibrates once, release the power on/ off button, but keep the other two keys from the key combination pressed until a menu appears on the display.
Now mark the entry "Wipe cache partition" with the volume down key. With the power on / off button, the entry is selected and the process is started. This usually takes only a few seconds. Then the previously displayed menu appears again. Now select the first entry with "Reboot system now" and run the command again with a press of the power button. Your Samsung Galaxy S5 will now reboot.

2. Reset the Samsung Galaxy S5 to factory settings

If the above-mentioned solution did not help, then you need to do factory reset. How to do such a factory reset, we tell you in the following article: Reset Samsung Galaxy S5 to factory settings with Android Lollipop. You know now what to do if the Samsung Galaxy S5 produces CPU heat after an update to Android Lollipop, although no major applications are running.
