Samsung Galaxy S6 How to use Swype keyboard - Solved

There is the possibility on the Samsung Galaxy S6 to write text using the so-called Swype feature. With Swype you can write words by wiping over the keyboard letters. Based on the associated letters the keyboard then calculates the word you mean.

In general, the Swype keyboard works very well on the Samsung Galaxy S6. With a little practice you can write quickly text with Swype on the Samsung Galaxy S6. Swype is from stock not enabled and is also listed under a different name by Samsung, so you might not have found this opportunity yet. We now show you how to activate the Swype keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy S6 within Android.

To activate Swype on the Samsung Galaxy S6, open first from the home screen the menu and then the settings. Navigate here on "Language and input" and tap within this sub-menu on "Samsung Keyboard". In the next submenu scroll a little bit down until "keyboard swipe" is displayed. Tap the entry and then go mark "Continuous Input". Finished!

If you now write a text with the Samsung keypad on your Samsung Galaxy S6, then you can use the Swype technology. Swype takes a little practice, to texts go easy on the hand. After some time you will receive a good success rate when writing text messages, e-mails or other texts with Swype on the Samsung Galaxy S6. You now know how to activate on the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Swype feature.

To all people who are still confused, turn Predictive Text on first under the Samsung Keyboard tab. Then, if continuous input was greyed out before, it won't be anymore.

On Android 5 devices choose the "SwiftKey Flow" option for Keyboard Swipe. At first I thought this wasn't working, but if you start swiping as soon as you touch the keyboard, it will work. Any delay after the first touch causes it to switch to...

This is not Swype. This is swiping, with an 'i', or, more technically, gesture typing. Swype, with a 'y' is a specific third party keyboard, which was included on Galaxy models until the S6, which really upsets me. Otherwise you have to pay to install Swype from the Play Store. I came across this thread while trying to find info about why it wasn't natively included on the S6.
