If you are using the Facebook app on your Samsung Galaxy S 5, then it can happen suddenly that all birthdays of your Facebook friends are displayed in the Calendar app S Planner. If you have several hundred friends on Facebook and the birthdays will all be displayed in the Calendar app, then this is sometimes annoying. We'll show you now, how you can remove birthdays that were synchronized via the Facebook app on the Samsung Galaxy S5. In addition we show you how to completely disable this automatic synchronization between the calendar and Facebook app.
To do this, please complete the following steps:
1. Disable the synchronisation of Birthdays via the Facebook app
Open on your Samsung Galaxy S5, the Facebook app and within the menu (icon with the three horizontal bars). Scroll down to the section "Help & Settings" and type there on "App Settings". In this submenu scroll down to the bottom and tap "sync contacts". Now mark the entry "Synchronize nothing". The tap on the top right button "Finish" to apply the setting for the Facebook app.
Facebook will now synchronize no more contacts in the calendar app splanner. This is important because otherwise if you delete the Facebook Birthdays, they will be synchronized again automatically.
2. Delete Facebook Birthdays from Android Calendar
Open the calendar app S Planner on your Samsung Galaxy S5 and type within this app on the top-right at the three-point symbol. Then type on "Calendars" and remove here at "Facebook" the hook in the checkbox.
You can now close the app again and restart your Samsung Galaxy S5. After the restart you will have no more birthdays from Facebook in the Calendar app S Planner displayed.
You know now how to disable the synchronization of Facebook birthdays on the Samsung Galaxy S5.
