If you have changed to the new Samsung Galaxy S6, then you surely want to transfer photos from your old phone. We would like to explain in this article how to do this best.
Transferring your images for example from a Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Samsung Galaxy S6 works best by taking advantage of Samsung Smart Switch. Here the exact procedure:
You can quickly and easily transfer valuable information from your Samsung Galaxy S4 on the Samsung Galaxy S6 by using the app "Samsung Smart Switch" from the Samsung App Store. This app has been specially programmed by Samsung, so that important data can be transferred from a Samsung smartphone to another Samsung smartphone.
The following data can be transferred from an old smartphone to the Samsung Galaxy S6:
• text messages
• Music in the device memory
• Videos in the device memory
• documents that you have downloaded from the Internet like PDF's, Word or Excel etc.
• Call Logs
• background image, which was currently set up on your old smartphone
• Lock Screen
• Alarm clock settings
• WiFi settings
Here's how you go about it:
Once you have downloaded the app SmartSwitch from the Samsung App Store on the old Samsung smartphone and the Samsung Galaxy S6, open the appon both smartphones.
If you are on the overview screen of the app SmartSwitch tap on your old device on "From Android to Galaxy". You can then select the data to be transmitted on your new Samsung Galaxy S6. If you have set the hook at the data to be transferred, tap "Transfer"!
Important! Both smartphones have to lie adjacent to each other so that the app SmartSwitch is working properly. The devices communicate with each other and exchange data via Wi-Fi. After the operation end you will find all transmitted data and settings on your Samsung Galaxy S6 again.
This is a very comfortable way to copy pictures from your old phone to a new smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S6. This also works if you are upgrading from an iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy S6. You must then, however, tap in Samsung Smart Switch app on "Import from iCloud".
We hope that this article has helped you to quickly move your pictures from a smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Samsung Galaxy S6.
