Samsung Galaxy S6 battery life bad after Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update

If the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy S6 becomes worse after the firmware update to AndroidLollipop 5.1.1, then this article should help you to return to the old standard of battery consumption.

We have several tips which shouldusually help to get the problem with increased battery consumption under control.

1. Allow the battery consumption level display to calibrate itself after update

If your Samsung Galaxy S6 was just updatedthen wait a little bit until the battery consumption display has calibrated itself. This may take one to three charging cycles. Turn in any case your Samsung Galaxy S6 completely off and start it then again. Now wait for the charging cycles. If it is not getting better, then use the same tip no. 2

2. Wipe Cache Partition perform

You should always perform after a firmware update a wipe cache partition to completely remove old temporary system files from the cache. (all other files get NOT deleted) How to make a Wipe cache partition you learn in this article: Samsung Galaxy S6 Perform Wipe Cache – manual

3. Locate apps with increased battery consumption

In Android 5.1.1 on the Samsung Galaxy S6, it has become even easier to locate apps with increased battery consumption. Openfrom the Home Screen:

  • Menu --> Settings --> Battery --> section "Battery Power Optimization" --> Detail --> tab "Abnormal battery Usage”

Check here which apps are listed and need unusual battery power of your Samsung Galaxy S6. This app should then be uninstalled.By using the new function"Automatic stop"apps will be terminated automatically.

We hope that one of these tips helped you to reduce the battery consumption after the update to AndroidLollipop 5.1.1. If not, then, unfortunately, only a factory reset remains in the final analysis.

So my question is what is the everаге time Samsung usually react in situation like this - 4 or 5 months???
