Samsung Galaxy S5 Save your GPS position in a picture

There is a possibility at your Samsung Galaxy S5 to store the corresponding position while taking a photo. The GPS-Position is saved within the image file in the so called Exid-Data. Advantage of this feature is that you can always see exactly where you have taken the picture with the Samsung Galaxy S5. The GPS locates the position of you very accurate to several meters. If you would like to use this feature on your Samsung Galaxy S5 when taking photos then you must indicate the following camera settings:

Simply open your Samsung Galaxy S5 camera app and tap within this on the gear icon, which will you now show the settings. You see different tiles with options. If you scroll a bit down you'll see a tile with "location tags". Tap on this tile now to activate the option. Your GPS position will be stored when taking a picture with your smartphone.

Once you have accepted the notice, which warns you to send images with GPS locations to others, you can use the function. However, the GPS receiver must now always be enabled, so that your position is detected correctly when taking a photo.

You now know how to save your position using GPS while taking pictures with your Samsung Galaxy S5.
