Android Nougat How to create app folders – solved

If you have installed the operating system Android Nougat on your smartphone or tablet, you might want to organize your apps on the Home screen or the app menu in folders. We would like to tell you how this works on devices with Android Nougat:

Create a folder in Android Nougat Instructions:

  1. On the home screen or the App menu, display the app that you would like to move to a folder
  2. The folder is created by tapping an app for a long period of time. Drag them directly over another app to create a folder. Tip: In the app menu, you must tap "Edit" in the upper right corner.
  3. As soon as both apps are placed on each other, release the app. A folder has been created.
  4. You can now assign a name for this folder.

Just quickly drag an app shortcut over another one to group them together. Do not wait until the other icon is moved to release one onto the other.

Nope. Does not work. LG Android 7.0

In the App drawer I long press an app, then choose Edit from the menu. it tells me to select custom in app view.

I can find nothing for that. I assume app view is the app drawer.
