Android USB Settings - Tips for Connecting to the PC

If you have an Android smartphone, you can connect it to a PC via Micro USB or USB Type C and then move data such as pictures, videos or music. For this to work, there are several Android USB settings.

We want to tell you where to find and use them on your Android smartphone to connect the device to your computer.

  1. Enable USB debugging

USB debugging is included in your smartphone's developer options. If the developer mode has not yet been activated, then you cannot use the USB debugging on Android, but must first unlock it. Our guide will now show you how to use USB debugging on Android:

Unlock developer options

Then Open the following menu:

App menu -> Settings -> Developer options

Scroll here down the list of options until you see "USB Debugging". Check the box or enable the slider to enable this option.

  1. USB MTP mode on Samsung smartphones with Android

Open the phone app in Android and switch to the keypad. Now enter the following code:

* # 0808 #

The USB settings of the Android smartphone will now be displayed. Now make sure that the setting is set to MTP + ADP. If this is not the case, then set the mark to "MTP + ADP" so as to be able to establish a functioning USB connection with most devices, including the PC.

Exit the menu by tapping "OK". You now know two different settings options on an Android smartphone or tablet to establish a USB connection between your device and the PC. We hope that this helped you.
