Samsung Galaxy Alpha Use it as a flashlight

Every modern smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has an LED on the back, which serves as a flash for the camera. This photo LED, which emits a very strong light, can conveniently be used as a flashlight. This useful function provides the Android operating system with a widget.

To use the Samsung Galaxy Alpha as a flashlight, you must place the flashlight widget on your homescreen as follows:

If you are on the home screen of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, tap once long on the left soft-key, until the screen is reduced and the Home screen menu appears. Alternatively, you can also perform the Zoom-out-motion with your fingers. You are then on a small overview page, on which you now have to tap the button  "Widgets". You will see the now different widgets to choose from.

Scroll through the different pages of widgets until you can see the Flashlight Widget. Tap and hold the widget until it can be placed on the home screen.

Now when you tap the widget on the home screen, the Photo light will start to shine at the back of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and thus serves as your flashlight. You now know how you can transform your Samsung Galaxy Alpha in a useful flashlight.
