Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Hide SMS preview text in status bar – Solved

If you get on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 a new SMS message, then the containing text appears as a ticker in the status bar. This feature will help you to capture the contents of a text message quickly without having to open it. However, it may now be that you do not want that your SMS can be read in the status bar of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. If so, then we want to explain how you can disable the message preview of SMS in the notification bar on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Proceeds as follows:

Open from home screen the menu and then the Settings of Android. Scroll down to the section "Applications" and then tap on the button "Messages". In the next menu scroll down a bit and then taps the entry "Notifications". In the next menu you now see as the last option "Message Preview". Remove the check mark in the checkbox to hide the preview of received SMS messages in the status bar and on the lock screen.

Immediately if you receive new SMS messages they are no longer visible on the lock screen and status bar of your Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
