Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Disable "Samsung Cloud" – Solved

Your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a nice new feature on board that you might not have had on your smartphone before: the Samsung Cloud. This is an online storage where you get 15GB of free storage online.

This is definitely a nice feature, but it is also activated immediately after the first start of the device. And it creates a backup of your Samsung Galaxy Note. This means that your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 automatically creates a backup on the Samsung server or the cloud, one hour after your smartphone has been connected to the Wi-Fi and hangs on a charger.

The following data is stored here:

  • Phone logs
  • Clock
  • Start screen
  • Apps
  • Settings
  • Messages
  • Music
  • Auto-Complete
  • Documents

In short: everything is synchronized which is reasonably. Maybe you do not want that. If so, then you should disable the automatic backup to the Samsung Cloud on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

This works as follows:

Open the App menu on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and then the settings. Select "Samsung Cloud" and then "Backup".

Disable the automatic backup by using the regulator. Your data will then no longer automatically be stored in the Samsung Cloud. You now know how to disable the automatic backup in the Samsung Cloud on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
