When you open the Contacts app of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, you will first see all contacts listed alphabetically by their first names. However, this is not always an advantage especially for a business-used smartphone, which then leads to a longer search for a contact.
For this reason, there is the possibility to sort the contact list also by last name. How exactly this works is explained in more detail in the following article:
To do this, please start from the start screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and open the contacts app there. It continues in the contacts overview top right on the symbol with the three points. Select "Settings."
You will now see various options, whereby we recommend the following settings:
- Sort by last name Please
Select "Sort by" and then mark the entry "Last Name"
- Name Format
Here you should now select "Last Name, First Name"
Afterwards, all your contacts on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are sorted by last name and this is also displayed at the beginning. So hopefully you now find your contacts on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 faster.
