Samsung Galaxy S5 Android Lollipop Send SMS to a contact group

If you have assigned your contacts to groups on your Samsung Galaxy S5 and want to send a text message to such a group, then this is very easy with the Android messaging app. This app allows to send a single text message to an entire group. Thus, several contacts with an SMS can be achieved. (Attention: For each contact one message is sent).

To send a message on the Samsung Galaxy S5 to a group proceed as follows:

Open the Android messaging app and tap in the summary at the bottom right on the pencil button to write a new SMS. In the bar with “Enter recipients” you see on the right a small standard profile picture. Tap on it and it will open a summary screen. Here you can select on the tab:

  -  Logs

  - Favorites

  - Contacts

  - Groups

Now switch to the tab "Groups" and then select the group to which the SMS should be sent. You can now select the individuals within a group to which the SMS is sent. You can also select all contacts to a group by setting a tick at the upper left checkbox. Up to 20 contacts maximum can be selected per group.

If you have made your selection, then tap at the top right on "Finish". Then you can write the text of the group SMS and send the message.

You now know how to send on the Samsung Galaxy S5, a group SMS.
