Samsung Galaxy S5: Camera error - Solved!

It may happen that if you want to open the camera app on the Samsung Galaxy S5, an error message appears on the display with the text “camera error”. The camera then does not start and you cant take any pictures or record a video. This is of course very annoying and should be fixed as soon as possible. Therefore, we now show you a trick on how to fix the Samsung Galaxy S5 camera error, which is caused by the camera software app.

Open the menu on your Samsung Galaxy S5 and then select the settings. Scroll down here to the section "Applications". Then tap on "Application Manager" and navigate here on the tab "All". Search now in the alphabetically sorted list for "camera". Do you have the app found, tap on it. You will now the app information’s.

You can find here the two buttons, "Clear cache" and "Clear data". Tap on the two buttons one after another and then restart your Samsung Galaxy S5.
