Samsung Galaxy S5 "Wi-Fi networks available" message

If you have enabled on the Samsung Galaxy S5 the Wi-Fi, then it can happen to you that you receive a notification in the status bar with "Wi-Fi networks available". Now if you walk, for example, in a city or a residential area, then this message will appear very often, because then the Samsung Galaxy S5 repeatedly registers open Wi-Fi networks.

If you interfere with this message, then the function can be deactivated very quickly. That is why we now explain to you, how you can turn off the "Network notification" on the Samsung Galaxy S5. If so, please proceed as follows:

1. Open on the Samsung Galaxy S5 the menu and then the Settings

2. Tap on "Wi-Fi" and in the next sub-menu on the top right on the three-point symbol. In the pop-up menu, select "Advanced"

3. Disable the checkbox for "Network notification".

Immediately you won’t get any notification by your Samsung Galaxy S5 when open Wi-Fi networks have been detected in your area. So you have successfully disabled the notifications about new wireless available networks.
