Samsung Galaxy S6 activate Smart Lock - How it works

On the Samsung Galaxy S6, the new feature "Smart Lock" is available through Android Lollipop with which the smartphone does not have to be unlocked by pin, pattern or fingerprint under certain conditions. Such a condition may be, for example:

  • Trusted Locations
  • Trusted Devices
  • On-Body detection

If you would like to make use of Smart Lock on your Samsung Galaxy S6, you can enable the option in Android as follows.

To do this, open from the home screen, the following submenu:

Menu --> Settings --> Lock screen and security --> Secure Lock settings --> Smart Lock

You can now see the menu the item "Smart Lock" . Tap on the entry and you can now select in which situation the Samsung Galaxy S6 does not have to be unlocked.

Our recommendation:

  • Trusted Devices - When you connect your phone to the Bluetooth handsfree of your car
  • On Body detection - Practical, because you do not have to unlock the Samsung Galaxy S6 while your are walking.

You know now how you can find on the Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android the "Smart Lock" option and how to activate it.
