Samsung Galaxy S7 Deactivate App Shortcut on lock screen

If the screen is blocked by the Samsung Galaxy S7, you will see an app shortcut in the left and right lower corner. This application shortcuts allows you to view applications such as the camera or the contacts app directly from the lock screen.

If you do not want to use this feature of the Android operating system, you can disable the shortcuts on the lock screen as follows:

1. From the Samsung Galaxy S7 home screen, navigate to menu and then on Settings

2. Scroll down and then select "Device security".

3. In this submenu, tap "Info and App Shortcut" and continue with "App Shortcuts".

4. Now touch "Left Shortcut" and "Right Shortcut" and deactivate it with the slider

On the Samsung Galaxy S7 you will not see any app shortcuts anymore. You have now successfully deactivated the quick start icons on the lock screen of your Samsung Galaxy S7.
