The system uses in addition to the GPS module the mobile data network back todetermine your location and can thereby provides faster and more accurate location data. Therefore, we now show you a little tutorial on how to update or reload on the Sony Xperia Z3 the A-GPS data. Unfortunately, Android has no integrated function for a manual update and thats why you need to download the following free app from the App Store:
Download GPS Test from the Google Play Store
If you have installed the app please open it now. Now switch on the GPS of your Sony Xperia Z3 if not already done. Now open the menu in the app “GPS Test”. Select the "Settings" tab. This takes you to the menu for the settings of the app. There you will find at the top two buttons. Press
1. Clear AGPS
2. Update AGPS
Press both buttons to update your AGPS data.
You have now deleted the old A-GPS data successfully and after that updated the data. The Sony Xperia Z3 should now determine your location as usual in no time.
