Should you use on your Android smartphone the Wipe Cache Partition then it may happen that the corresponding menu is not loaded by the key combination. The smartphone will boot every time the Android OS without loading the Recovery menu.
The cause is usually very simple.
When a charger cable is connected to the smartphone, then you cannot enter the recovery menu by pressing the key combination. Instead Android is simply loaded. So disconnect your charging cable from your smartphone to perform the key combination for the Wipe Cache partition.
The Recovery Menu is now usually loaded immediately and you can delete the temporary files of your smartphone with the Wipe Cache partition.
