Android L stands for Android Lollipop 5.0

Google already mentioned in his last keynote the first letter of the new Android Version with the number 5.0. The letter was "L". Since that, the whole web community speculates about the full name of the new Android version. A google employee joked a few days before: Maybe L stands for Licorice. But this was just a joke, the real name was published today at the new Google Keynote. L stands for "Lollipop"

So the full name of the new Android Version 5.0 is: Android Lollipop 5.0

Lollipop Android 5.0 will make networking between Android devices easier, so that you have access to your data from anywhere. How it will look in detail remains to be seen. Important: Google Nexus smartphones get the Google lollipop update in November.

We up to date about Android Lollipop  5.0 and of course when this version is released for Samsung, Sony and HTC smartphones.
