If you notice on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that the quality of a video which will be sent via MMS is worse than the original, then we would like to explain briefly the reason for that. Sending an MMS video is subject to certain conditions imposed by the provider. The requirement is that the size of the MMS must not be more than around 1.1 MB. And here is already the problem for poor quality of an MMS video.

Because if you send an MMS video, your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has to compress it, so that in the end the file is smaller than 1.1 MB. During compression of the video, image information is left out, which is then visible in the poorer quality of the video.

It is usually not possible to create quality MMS videos with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or any other smartphone. Instead, we recommend you an alternative App to send your video. For example WhatsApp or simply sending the video via e-mail.

You know now why the quality of a video that is being sent via MMS from your Samsung Galaxy Note 4, is so bad.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is built with one of the best and fastest cameras. Nevertheless, it can happen to you that it takes a long time from pressing the shutter-release until taking the photo.

However, the delay of the camera after triggering has no cause in the hardware, but much more on the software and the correct settings.

The reason for the delayed release of pictures with the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S5 is due to the "Image Stabilizer". The stabilizer waits so long to capture the image until the hand and the object to be photographed is fairly quiet and calm.

This "Image Stabilizer" option must be disabled so pictures with the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S5 can be triggered faster, " . This works as follows:

Open from the home screen the camera app on your Samsung Galaxy S5. Tap now on the gear icon at the top of the screen. The settings of the will camera open. You now see several tiles, one of which is called "Image Stabilization".

This must now be disabled by tapping.

That's it. If you now take pictures with the Samsung Galaxy S5, then this should be triggered much faster than was previously was the case. The shutter lag should now correspond to the technical capabilities of the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Google Maps on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is great to navigate by car in traffic. Real time route calculation and information on congestion and other traffic conditions make this useful app to a daily companion. If you make use of Google Maps on your Samsung Galaxy S5 and in conjunction with a Bluetooth hands-free car, then it may happen that you cannot hear sound announcements from Google Maps navigation.
If this is also the case with your Samsung Galaxy S5, in conjunction with Google Maps and a Bluetooth hands-free car, then we want to give you two important notes here that perhaps are the reason for the lack of sound:

1. Voice guidance is activated?

Have you started on your Samsung Galaxy S5 the Google Maps navigation, please check whether the voice guidance is active. For this purpose, after starting the navigation in Google Maps tap at the bottom right on the vertical three-point symbol. There are now opening up four tiles. One of them must be set at "Mute voice guidance". If this is not the case and you can see there "Unmute voice guidance", please tap on that tile.

2. Is the voice guidance transmitted on the radio of the car?

It may be that the voice announcement from Google Maps is streamed from your Samsung Galaxy S5 directly on the car radio. Usually the radio is off so of course no sound is heard then. So please check your vehicle radio, whether "Bluetooth" is selected as a media. Only in this way the voice guidance of Google Maps can be heard over the vehicle's speakers.
These are usually the most common reasons why you do not hear any sound when navigating with Google Maps, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Bluetooth hands-free kit.

If you receive images via the app WhatsApp on your Android smartphome, then they are displayed not only in WhatsApp, but also automatically in the gallery.
If you do not want to see the folder of WhatsApp images in the gallery of Android then we'll show you a trick how to hide.

There is the possibility in Android to hide folders with WhatsApp pictures using  a .nomedia file".  The following steps have to be made:
You need the file explorer "ES File Explorer" which can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play Store. If the Explorer has been installed from the Google Play Store, open it on your Android smartphone

You now see an overview of your storage where you have to tap "0" for the internal memory or "extSdCard" to access the memory card.
The WhatsApp images folder can be found here:

Device memory (0) --> WhatsApp --> Media --> WhatsApp Images

This folder needs to be hidden by the Nomedia file in the Android gallery. If you open the folder, tap in the bottom left at "New" and then click on "File". You will now create a new file whose name you can now set. Select here: .nomedia as the file name. With a tip on "Ok" you create the new file.
From now WhatsApp images that you have received from your contacts will no longer appear in the Android gallery app.

If you want to send a video file as an MMS on your Samsung Galaxy S5, then it may happen that the following error message appears on the display:

"File can not be attached. The video file is too large. The size will be changed"

You can either cancel the process or crop the video. If you select "Crop", a small video editor opens on your Samsung Galaxy S5. Here the length of the video can be varied. Unfortunately, you can only send a small portion of the video via MMS. You have to cut the video and the video will also be compressed.

The background is that MMS data is limited from the mobile operators. This is limitation is set to just a bit over one megabyte. As most of videos exceeding this file size by far, it is not possible to send them as MMS without compressing and cropping. Therefore your Samsung Galaxy S5 offers you the option of cropping.

If you wish to crop your video more professional, then there is a video editor from the Samsung Galaxy App Store available. With this editor the video can be better changed to a compatible format for MMS.

You know now why the video can not be sent via MMS from your Samsung Galaxy S5 in full size and length.
