The Gmail app has received with the last update in addition to the material design another very useful feature. Gmail provides now the feature to add more e-mail accounts from othe providers. Previously it was only possible to use Gmail addresses with the app. Now e-mail addresses from other providers such as AOL, yahoo, mail.com etc. can be added and accessed via the Gmail app.

In this article we explain now how to add new e-mail accounts on an Android smartphone within the Gmail app.

First open Gmail on your Android smartphone. If you find yourself in the overview, tap on the top left icon with the three bars or wipe with the finger from the left edge of the screen to the center. In the now opened side menu scroll down and select "Settings". Here you can now select "Add Account" to add a new e-mail account to Gmail. After you've tapped the entry, you can choose between "Google Account" or "Personal (IMAP / POP)".

Select here "Personal (IMAP / POP)". You can now set up your e-mail address and Gmail will automatich retrieve the correct access point settings. Only your password for the email account is still needed. Then click "Next" and the new e-mail account is created within Gmail and can be used.

You now know how to add a new e-mail account on an Android smartphone within the Gmail app.

Whenever you do not use the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact for a certain time period then it switches automatically into the standby-mode. The standby can also be activated by briefly pressing the Power On / Off button. In stand-by, the so-called lock screen is displayed then the smartphone is reactivated. On this lockscreen informations such as time, weather, etc. are displayed. In the background a lock screen image is always displayed. This wallpaper of the lock screen, can ba changed in Android. To change the background of the lock screen of your Sony Xperia Z3 Compact proceed as follows:

Tap at the Home Screen on the menu button, which takes you to the apps. Here you can see the icon for "settings". Navigate from here to "Personalization" --> "Screen lock". Select one of the options and then follow the instructions to change the background. You can choose between pre-installed images or your own. Samsung Galaxy S5 How to “Wipe cache partition” - Solved

If your Samsung Galaxy S5 reacts slowly to specific interactions, it may sometimes be necessary to perform the so-called "Wipe Cache Partition". With the Wipe Cache Partition function, temporary files that were created by the Android operating system, will be deleted on the Samsung Galaxy S5. These files can only deleted by using the Wipe Cache Partition function.

We tell you now how the "Wipe cache partition" can be found on the Samsung Galaxy S5:

As first thing, turn off your Samsung Galaxy S5 by long pressing on the Power On / Off button. After the phone is complete off,you need the following key combination to boot the smartphone:
Press and hold:

• Power On / Off
• Volume up
• Home-Button

If the Samsung Galaxy S5 vibrates once, release the Power On/ Off button but keep the other two keys from the key combination pressed until a boot menu appears on the display.
Now mark the entry "Wipe Cache partition" with the volume quieter button. With the Power On / Off button confirm that procedure. This function takes only a few seconds. Then the previously displayed menu reappears. Now select the first entry with "reboot system now" and run the command again with a press of the Power button. If you bought the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 then of course you want to transfer your WhatsApp messages from your "old" smartphone to the new one, so they get not lost by the change. Unfortunately, there is currently no automatic backup and restore solution for WhatsApp messages on Android. That's why we want to show you a step by step solution on how to transfer and restore WhatsApp messages from an older Android smartphone to the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

For that you have to proceed as follows.

Save the complete WhatsApp folder from your old phone to the PC. To do this, connect your phone via the supplied USB cable to the PC. If this was recognized as a mass storage device, navigate with Windows to that path:

My Computer -> Portable Device -> Phone


Here you will now find the folder "WhatsApp". This folder must now be copyied and for example backuped on your desktop. You have now successfully made the backup of your WhatsApp messages on your computer. Now you can import this backup on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
You must as First uninstall the app WhatsApp at the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 if you have it already installed. After that step connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also via USB cable to the PC with the saved backup. Restore the previously made Backup-WhatsApp-folder  into the root directory of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
When you have finished this step, you can install WhatsApp again on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by downloading it for example from the Google Play Store.
Then open "WhatsApp" on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and follow the instructions on the display.

Now tap within the assistant the “Restore” Button. This will import all WhatsApp messages from the backup to your Samsung Galaxy Note 4. You can mirror your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 display in a few steps on your television with Google ChromeCast. This feature is very handy to show pictures on the TV, to watch videos and movies or to perform a presentation at work.

Now we show you in this article how you can stream the display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 via the Google ChromeCast to the TV. For this purpose, you have to proceed as follows:
First you have to download the app "ChromeCast" from the Google Play Store. Here is the link

Now connect the Google ChromeCast to the HDMI port of your TV. The ChromeCast will now start. After that open on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 the Chromecast app and follow the wizard to set up. After you have successfully integrated Chromecast into your wireless network, you can mirror the display of your Samsung Galaxy Note 4  on the TV as follows:

Swipe on your smartphone within the app Chromecast from the left side of the display to the middle to reveal a sidebar. Here you can now find the button "Cast Screen". If you notice on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4, that an old Google Play Store version is installed, then the automatic update of the market does not work properly. This can occur under certain circumstances, but is not that bad. Because we tell you now in our guide how you can update an older version of Google Play Store again.

WatchOn is an app with which you can control the TV through the integrated IR diode. In connection with the television, which can be put together individually, WatchOn is the perfect companion to your smartphone to quickly view your favorite program.

If you want to have WatchOn installed on your Samsung Galaxy S5 again, then you have to proceed as follows:

Open from the home screen the app market "Galaxy Apps" and search within this for "Samsung WatchOn". If the app appears you can now install  "WatchOn" via a tap on the "Free" button on your Samsung Galaxy S5.

WatchOn is now installed on your Samsung Galaxy S5 and can be configured and used as usual afterwards. Have fun watching TV with WatchOn and the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped - solution

Maybe you receive on your Android smartphone the following error if you open an app, such as the phone app:

"Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped"

The error message means that you can not properly use the application without having to reproduce this error again. Since this is a bug, which is not too easy to solve, we would like to present you a few suggestions that may perhaps resolve this.

To fix the error "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" on your Android smartphone, the attempt the following solutions:

1. Reset the Phone App on your Android device

To do this, open from your home screen the menu and then the Settings. Search there for "Application Manager" and tap on it. In the Application Manager itself, switch to the tab "All" and then search for "Telephone". Have you found the entry in the list, tap on it to open the app information.

Tap now in the following order the buttons within the app-info:

     1. Force stop
     2. Clear data
     3. Clear cache

Then restart your Android smartphone. The error "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" should now not appear anymore on your Android smartphone. If not, try Tip #2:

2. Wipe cache partition on your Android smartphone (data is not deleted!)

Turn your Android smartphone off by long pressing on the Power On / Off button. Now you need to press and hold the following key combination:

- Power On / Off
- Volume +
- Home button

If your phone vibrates once, release the Power On / Off button, but keep the other two keys from the key combination pressed until a menu appears on the display. Here you can now use the volume button to select "Wipe Cache Partition". Confirm with the "Power On / Off" button to delete the cache. Then mark "Reboot phone" to reboot your Android phone. Finish!

Then, the error "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" should no longer appear when you open an app like the phone app.
