If you use the iMessage message app on your iPhone, you may want to know whether a contact has read your message or not.

There are so-called read confirmations for this. We would like to explain in more detail how to activate them here:

There is no limit to how long an iMessage can be, with SMS it looks a little different. The default limit is 140 characters.

You can attach a maximum of three SMS messages to each other, i.e. write 420 characters. However, when sending more than 140 characters, the receiving person may not receive the SMS.

This is usually due to the recipient's smartphone or the mobile phone provider used by the recipient. So it now makes sense to leave the characters at a maximum of 140 and then send the SMS.

2. Scroll down until you see the SMS/MMS area.

3. Set the "Number of characters" slider to active

This only applies to text messages on your iPhone!

Now you always know how many characters you write in an SMS.

You may see the following message on your Apple iPhone during boot process or when starting the iOS system: WIB init failed!

The abbreviation WIB stands for Wireless Internet Browser. The error message is therefore related to the Internet of your Apple iPhone.

This error message can usually be skipped and the iOS system of your iPhone will be loaded as usual. But it appears again and again. In this article we will explain how to avoid this error in the future and what is the reason for it.

Sim card responsible for error message on the Apple iPhone

The error comes from the Sim card which is inserted in the Apple iPhone smartphone. Something on the Sim card is not working correctly anymore.

The cause can be manifold. So to solve the problem with "WIB init failed!" you simply have to request a new Sim card from your mobile phone operator for the iPhone.

The new Sim card usually fixes the error and iOS starts again without this message.

Project Treble was introduced as part of Android 8.0 Oreo and represents an important re-architecture for the operating system framework.

The goal of the Treble feature is to make firmware updates faster and easier for smartphone manufacturers to roll them out to the different devices in their portfolios.

Especially for manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi this feature is important, because due to the large product portfolio many smartphones get "stuck" on old Android versions and are therefore not secure.
