If you have added a new contact to your Android smartphone and want to send a message to that contact via WhatsApp, the new contact may not be displayed as available in the WhatsApp list.

In most cases, however, this can be resolved quickly by updating the list. But how can I update the contact list in WhatsApp?

That's exactly what this guide is meant to show you: Please note the following: Was the contact's phone number entered correctly? (area code, country code)

If this is okay, the WhatsApp contact list will update as follows:

1. Open WhatsApp.

2. Tap on the green symbol.

3. In the bottom right corner of the overview.

4. The contact list opens - tap on the three dot symbol in the top right corner.

Select "update" - done! The newly entered contact should now appear in WhatsApp so that it can be written to via the Messenger.

You now know what to do if a newly entered contact is not displayed in WhatsApp.

Smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 have a built-in display that will delight the user with an extraordinarily high resolution.

However, a higher resolution also means more power consumption. That's why Samsung has included an option in its firmware to change the screen resolution.

1. Open the Android settings of your Samsung Galaxy Note 9

2. Navigate to "Display" and then to "Screen resolution"

3. You can now select the following resolutions:

• HD+ (1.480 x 720 Pixel)
• Full-HD+ (2.220 x 1.080 Pixel)
• WQHD+ (2.960 x 1.440 Pixel)

4. Set the slider to the resolution, which should remain permanently set.

3. In this submenu you will now find "Screen timeout" Here you now have the option to select between 15 seconds and 10 minutes.

• The default value is 2 minutes.

The longer you select the time, the more battery power is needed for the illumination of the screen.

 For this reason, we recommend that you do not enter a value greater than 5 minutes. If you have set the mark at a new value, it will be applied directly to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung Android smartphones like the A8 have a small menu on board which cannot be opened via the Android interface.

This is probably why it is often called a secret menu.

But it's rather a service menu that has to be opened via a special code. The following is a summary of how to open the service menu on the Samsung Galaxy A8, for example to read the sensor data:

To delete a widget from the Samsung Galaxy A8, go to the corresponding page of the widget you want to delete. Now tap and hold the widget.

A small window will appear on the screen. Now select "Remove from Start Screen" - Done!

The connection between a computer and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can sometimes be a bit difficult, which means that you don't always have access to the internal memory and can't load photos or videos from a smartphone.

To get a good connection between PC and Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it helps to enable USB debugging. Unfortunately, this option is a bit hidden and therefore we show you here where you can activate this option:

You can then activate USB debugging as follows:

• App Menu --> Settings --> Developer Options

Generally activate these options using the "Master Knob" at the beginning. Then search for the setting "USB Debugging" and activate it by setting the switch to "active".

Tap it again and the light from the lamp goes out again.

Drag the Sidebar into the screen from the right and switch to the "Quick Tools" module.

A hidden menu that you can unlock on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 are the so-called developer options.

As the name suggests, these options usually only contain settings that are important for a development.
