There are different mobile radio networks in the USA. These include the network standards GSM, UMTS and LTE. One often speaks of 2G, 3G and 4G. Each network has its advantages and disadvantages.

Thus, the GSM network is particularly well developed and widely available. However, it is very slow as regards the speed of the mobile internet. LTE, on the other hand, is very fast, but it is not yet available in all parts of the USA.

Sometimes it is useful, especially if one urgently calls, to put the Samsung Galaxy S8 in the so-called GSM mode. The smartphone is "forced" to connect only to the GSM network. This way you can usually use the best voice quality.

Cell phone radiation has been an interesting topic for many years and to this day one does not know what effects this has on the human organism. The abbreviation SAR stands for "specific absorption rate" and is currently set with a limit of 2 watts per kg.

Hardly a modern smartphone reaches this value yet, but some smartphones come close to it. For this reason, you may be interested in how high the SAR value of the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone is. Especially when you carry the device in the trouser pocket, this is an important information.

Samsung Galaxy S8

The following SAR data is known for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus:

  • S8: 0.32 W / KG
  • S8 Plus: 0.26 W / KG

This makes the S8 series one of the smartphones that currently have a low SAR value. We find that it is reassuring that such a modern smartphone has low mobile radiation, especially since the consequences for the future have not yet been explored 100%.

This includes WhatsApp with all the messages you received from your friends and acquaintances. But how to transfer your WhatsApp data to the new Android smartphone? Let's explain this step by step:

  1. Create WhatsApp Backup

First, you need to create a backup with all your data like messages, pictures, videos, etc. on your current smartphone. This works as follows:

Open WhatsApp and there in the chat overview the settings. Select "Chats" and then "Chat Backup". You do not need a Google Drive for this. Simply tap "Save" and a current chat backup is created.

  1. Copy WhatsApp Backup to PC

You must copy this backup to your PC or Mac. Use your USB cable. Your old smartphone should now be recognized as a removable device. Copy the following folder:

  • Internal memory -> WhatsApp

Copy the entire WhatsApp folder and place it on the desktop of your computer. This is the fastest method

The Honor 8 Pro impresses with its excellent hardware. Besides 6GB RAM also a battery with 4000 mAh belongs to the repertoire of the smartphone. If that convinces and you would like to receive the smartphone for example by a contract prolongation, then you should check whether the currently used SIM card is still usable.

Since there are currently three different Sim card types on the market, it can be that your card does not fit.

Check to see if you have a Nano sim card. Because this Sim card format is used in the Honor 8 Pro.

If you are still using an older Sim card format in your current device, you now have a number of ways to get a Nano Sim card:

Option 1: Sim card cutter

There are so-called "sim card punches". A sim card punch, similar to a puncher, cuts the right format from your sim card when that is bigger. This works with small stencils and within minutes. Such sim card punches are already available for little money here: "Good Sim card punching"  LINK

Option 2: Order from mobile carrier

You can always order a new Sim card in from your mobile operator. This takes between 3-5 business days and varies according to the provider (Between 0 $ -25$).

Option 3: Crop (Not recommended)

You can also cut your Sim card of course. You can download a Nano sim card template from the internet. We don´t recommend this variant since you can very easily mess it up and the card then does not fit in the Sim card Slot of the Honor 8 Pro.

You now have a variety of ways to get the right sim card for the new Honor 8 Pro. We wish you a lot of fun with the smartphone!

Android Smartphones

If you take a photo or video with your Samsung Galaxy S8, you may notice that this is blurry when you look at it within the gallery. The reason for this is usually the new design of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Why?

The fingerprint sensor of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is very close to the camera optics. Often, inadvertently to unlock the device, the finger is placed on the camera lens instead of the fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S8

By the natural grease film of your finger the lens is now wetted, which then leads to photos and videos, which are out of focus, milky or blurred.

Here you can only make sure that before the recording of a photo the camera lens is again cleaned. Another option would be to stop using the fingerprint sensor and to switch to the iris scanner instead. Depending on what you decide, there is always only one workaround. On the design of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is nothing to change.

You now know the main reason why images and videos that your Samsung Galaxy S8 takes are blurred and milky.
