Smartphones today have all kinds of sensors built in to make everyday life easier for the user. The Honor Play 4 Pro has a sensor on board that has never been seen before.

So it is now possible to measure fever with the smartphone. As XDA-Developers reports, the Honor Play 4 Pro is held on the forehead or wrist and then measures the temperature. A video, how the whole thing should look like, can be watched at Weibo.cn

But you should not only be able to measure body temperature, but also objects. The measuring zone of the sensor is between -20°C and 100°C.

The Honor Play 4 Pro is currently only available for sale in China. Whether a global release will take place is not yet clear.
