Samsung Galaxy S7
After every big firmware update with version jump like Android Nougat 7.0 you should actually make a factory reset to avoid errors and problems from the beginning. But this is often not necessary at all. Because there is the so-called Wipe Cache Partition. This function of your Samsung Galaxy S7 will delete old temporary system files from your internal memory. These files often conflict with the new operating system, causing errors and problems as described above.

So you should now perform a Wipe Cache partition on your Samsung Galaxy S7. No private files are deleted. The Wipe Cache Partition can be run without problems. Please proceed as follows on the Samsung Galaxy S7:

1. Turn off the Samsung Galaxy S7 completely

2. Then switch the device back on with the following key combination:

   - Power On / Off
   - Volume +
   - Home button

3. When the Samsung Galaxy S7 vibrates briefly, then release the Power On / Off button, but keep the other two buttons presseduntil a small Android male appears on the screen. Wait about 30 seconds until a menu appears on the display.

4. Now select "Wipe Cache Partition" using the Volume Down key. The Power On / Off button confirms the entry and starts the process.

5. This usually takes only a few seconds. The menu reappears. Now select the first entry with "Reboot System now" and execute the command again by pressing the power button.

Your Samsung Galaxy S7 is now restarted. The Wipe Cache was successfully implemented on the Samsung Galaxy S7. Subsequently, there should be no more problems with the new Android Nougat on the Samsung Galaxy S7. The performance should now be significantly faster and heat problems no longer occur.
