The Huawei P20 Pro has an Always On Display, similar to the Samsung Galaxy series, which can display various information on the home screen. If this is active, you may prefer to deactivate it because you do not want the information to appear on the display all the time.

Turn off Always On Display on the Huawei P20 Pro
1. Open the Android settings from the start screen and then "Security and Privacy"
2. Navigate from here to "Screen Lock and Passwords"
3. You will now see the option "Show Always Information" at the bottom - deactivate the function by moving the slider
You have now successfully deactivated the Always On Display on the Huawei P20 Pro. Thus the display in the Standby remains black and from now on you see no more information.
This will also have a positive effect on the battery life of the Huawei P20 Pro.
