If you have an Honor 10 and you notice that the display, the battery and the case gets very hot, then the cause is usually not immediately apparent. In most cases, if the heat is caused by the installed software, however, this helps a trick to stop the heat development in the device.
The trick is "Wipe Cache Partition" and can be executed as follows:
- Wipe Cache Partition on the Honor 10
- Turn off your Honor 10.
- Press the (Power OFF + Volume Up) buttons for 10-15 seconds to enter recovery mode.
- Select Wipe Cache partition (you can scroll up and down to select options using the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and select an option using the Power OFF button).
- Then select Reboot system now.
You have just performed a wipe cache partition on the Honor 10.
This deletes old temporary system files, which in total often lead to the processor reworking and the device but also the battery becoming hot.
We hope that this method has also helped with your Honor 10 that the device does not become so hot any more. In addition, you now know how the Wipe Cache Partition works.
Info: This should always be done after every Android firmware update.
