The Huawei P20 Pro has an integrated magnetic sensor with which you can, for example, use a compass app to calibrate your compass. If you now use such a compass app to display the points of the compass, it is possible that these will be displayed incorrectly.
If this is the case with your Huawei P20 Pro, please proceed as follows to recalibrate it.
Huawei P20 Pro Perform calibration of the magnetic sensor Note: You should be away from metallic or electronic devices when calibrating, as this may affect the process. To now calibrate the compass of the Huawei P20 Pro, please open the previously installed Compass App on your smartphone. This can be found in the "Tools" folder.
To calibrate the compass of the Huawei 20 Pro, proceed as follows
Step 1: Swing the Huawei P20 Pro in front of you in the form of a horizontal "8"
Step 2: Then turn the Huawei P20 Pro around each of its three axes once completely.
Afterwards the calibration should be finished and the compass should show the correct direction.
If this is not the case, please repeat the two steps above. You now know how to calibrate the magnetic sensor and thus the compass of the Huawei P20 Pro so that it points correctly north.
