SAR stands for Specific Absorption Rate and describes a value that describes the radiation emitted to the body. The limit value is 2 watts per kilogram. Each smartphone has different modems or antennas installed, which is why this value is different.
For the OnePlus 6, the value is as follows:
- SAR value (on the head): 1.33 W/kg
- SAR value (on the body): 1.38 W/kg
You now know the SAR value of the OnePlus 6, which is unfortunately somewhat high compared to other smartphones.
In our opinion, a smartphone should remain below 1W/kg in SAR terms. This is the case, for example, with the Samsung galaxy S9, but also with some other smartphones.
