Every car has its own special characteristics when engaging reverse gear. This also applies to the Nissan brand. So if you are dealing with a Nissan car for the first time, you will probably soon find yourself in the situation of having to engage reverse gear.
But how is the reverse gear engaged for Nissan vehicles? We'll explain that to you here: The reverse gear is on the left in front, so next to the first and second gear. If you try to push the hand control there, only the 1st gear will be engaged.
The trick is that there is a ring under the hand control knob. To engage reverse gear you have to press this ring upwards and then press the switch to the far left in front.
The reverse gear should now be engaged with your Nissan and the vehicle should then roll backwards.
