Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus Set GSM network mode manually

An important function, which is needed every now and then on the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus, is to set the network mode manually. The reason for this is that not all mobile networks are always available in the best quality.

This means, for example, that the telephone connection is poor under 3G, but would be much better in the GSM network. Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus remains in the 3G network because a higher Internet performance is available there.

In the above example, it would make sense to manually set the network mode to "GSM". Where you can change the network mode on the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus you will find out in the following:

1. Open the App menu and there the Android system settings

2. From here it goes on to "Connections" and "Mobile Networks"

3. In this submenu you can now see "Network Mode". Select the entry. Now a menu appears, in which various options or connection modes are available.

  • 4G / 3G / G / Auto
  • 3G / 2G / Auto
  • Only 3G
  • Only 2G

4. Now select "Only 2G" - Done!

Your Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus will no longer automatically switch mobile networks, but will remain in the network you have selected.
