If you take a photo with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, image properties are stored in an EXIF file. This includes, for example, the resolution, shutter speed, ISO value, etc. The note may also store the GPS position at which the photo was taken in the file. Publish the image then on the Internet so third parties might perhaps find out where you live.
For this reason, we recommend that you deactivate the option "Geo tagging" or be careful when handling images.
This is how to disable saving the GPS position in a photo taken with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8:
- Open the Camera App
- Tap on the gear wheel to open the settings
Disable the Geo-Tagging slider - Done!
Now you know how to quickly and easily switch off geo-tagging on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. This means that GPS data is no longer transferred to the EXIF file.
