If you like to take pictures of yourself selfies with the front camera, you may remember the beauty face option of the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the Samsung Galaxy S7 and wonder where it is hidden on the S9.
For example, the skin tone etc. could be adjusted by means of a scale. If and where this option still exists on the S9, we would like to clarify that here:
On the Samsung Galaxy S9, unfortunately, the "Beauty Face" option is no longer available in the camera app. At least not in the way they used to. Instead, you can now only access prefabricated profiles directly, such as: Natural, sweet, fresh etc.
There is only the option to apply Beauty Face afterwards via the photo editor.
To do this, open the gallery and then the photo you want to edit. Now tap on the symbol with the three dots in the upper right corner and then on "Open in Photo Editor Pro".
Then select "Portrait" from the menu bar. You can then use the Beauty Face options as usual using a slider. You now know that the front camera no longer supports Beauty Face before shooting, but photos can be edited with it.
