Samsung Gear S3 charging station flashes red - Tip

The Samsung Gear S3 Smartwatch comes with a charging station to charge the watch's battery wirelessly. This charging station has an LED display integrated, on which various statuses can be displayed.

Now this LED of the Samsung Gear S3 may flash red. Unfortunately the manual does not describe what this means and therefore we have summarized the statement of the red flashing LED on the charging station for you here:

If the LED display flashes red, this indicates a defect of the charging station.

This means that the Samsung Gear S3 cannot be recharged. Unfortunately this is a common problem with the Samsung Gear S3 charging station.

The only thing that really helps here is to complain it to Samsung or the dealer. Alternatively you can also look for a new charging station at Amazon.

I have two charging stations and it blinks red on both. I've tried taking it off the putting it back on. Nothing seems to work. I'm getting a wee bit frustrated.

My charger flashed just a minute ago.

I just took my watch off and put it back on and it started charging normally again.
Maybe it was recognizing the watch, but it didn't get a solid connection and was unable to charge.
