GoPro Hero 7 Black Battery Save - Tips

If you are on the road with your GoPro Hero 7 Black, you should usually always have a look at the battery charge level. You can change the battery, but many users still have only one in their luggage. That means then that one should pay attention to certain settings of the GoPro in order not to consume unnecessary battery.

Which battery tips will help you to save performance with the GoPro Hero 7 Black, we would like to explain to you in the following list:

Save battery with the GoPro Hero 7 Black

Go Pro Hero 7 Black

Disable connections

If possible, deactivate all connections such as Bluetooth and W-Lan. In many situations, these only consume unnecessary battery power. You can deactivate these two types of connection on the GoPro Hero 7 Black as follows:

Drag the menu from the top to the center of the display, then select Settings.

Select "Connections". Then switch off W-Lan using the On/Off button. This also deactivates Bluetooth.

Disable GPS

Switch off the location determination, unless you need it for your allocation within a photo album. Please proceed as follows:

Drag the menu from the top to the center of the display, then select Settings.

Then navigate to "Regional" and deactivate "GPS" in this submenu.

Reduce screen brightness

The display of the GoPro Hero 7 Black is factory set to 100% illumination. This means that the screen needs the most power from your battery. So the more you reduce the brightness, the less battery is needed!

The screen brightness can be reduced as follows:

Drag the menu from the top to the center of the display, then select Settings.

Reduce resolution - None 4K

Recording 4K videos requires the most energy on the GoPro Hero 7 Black and therefore a lot of battery power. So, if you don't need 4K at all, set a lower resolution such as 2.7K or lower.

Drag the menu from the top to the center of the display, then select Settings.

Now select "Touchdisplay" and set the "Brightness" value as low as possible. A good value is 10%.

We hope these tips have helped you to save battery power on the GoPro Hero 7 Black, so it now lasts longer.
