Huawei Mate 10 Reset to Factory Defaults - Instructions

If you want to sell the Huawei Mate 10 or fix serious bugs in the Android operating system, sometimes you can't avoid a factory reset.

All data on the smartphone will be deleted and the device will be reset to factory settings. This means that Android will be freshly installed and you will need to set up the device again.

If possible, you should make a backup of your data before the factory reset, otherwise they will be irretrievably lost. Especially with photos, videos, news etc. this would be a pity.

Below we show you how you can perform a factory reset on the Huawei Mate 10 using the Android operating system. Please proceed as follows:

Performing a factory reset on the Huawei Mate 10

  1. Please start from the start screen and navigate to "Settings".
  2. From there it continues to rise:
  3. Navigate now to "System" and then to "Reset".
  4. Tap on "Reset to factory settings".

Select "Reset" again here as confirmation and all data on it will then be deleted and the smartphone will be reset to factory settings.

The Huawei Mate 10 will automatically restart and the Android setup wizard will appear.
