Huawei Mate 20 Pro Activate blue light filter - Optimize reading

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has an integrated setting within the Android system that allows you to protect your eyes when reading the display. This is the so-called blue light filter.

As the name suggests, it filters out blue light emitted by the screen.

This blue light is responsible for the fact that it is harder to read the display, especially in the dark. It will also wake you up again, which is counterproductive, especially when surfing in the bedroom with the light already dimmed.

If you are interested in the blue light filter and the functions such as schedule and color temperature, then we have summarized in the following article how to activate and use this on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro:

Using the Blue Light Filter on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro - Instructions

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

1. Open the system settings on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro

2. Then navigate to "Display".

3. Touch now the entry "color and eyes spare".

5. You can now "always activate" it or via a "schedule".

If you select Schedule, you must define a start time and an end time.

Tip: You can use the colour temperature to set how strongly the blue light should be filtered. We recommend selecting the maximum setting, i.e. "warm".
