If you have deactivated the automatic brightness control of the display on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro via the Android system settings, you may still notice that the screen brightness is still controlled automatically.
This may be due to a special setting that has been enabled in the developer options.
This is the following setting:
- Sunlight readability
To find this option on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and check if it is enabled, please navigate to the following submenu:
- Settings -->System --> Developer options
Scroll down the list until you see the following entry within the menu:
- Sunlight readability
If this function is active, deactivate the option now. After that, the display brightness should no longer be automatically controlled by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro if the lighting conditions around you change and Auto Brightness is disabled.
There may also be other factors that cause the brightness to be automatically adjusted again, such as when you turn on sleep mode.
