A very nice way to further customize your Huawei P20 Pro is to use your own MP3 ringtone. This option is available in addition to using the pre-installed ringtones.

Setting up an MP3 ringtone on the Huawei P20 Pro
First, you need to save an MP3 file to the Huawei P20 Pro. You can transfer an MP3 file to your phone's internal memory using either the Internet or the USB cable.
Once you have transferred the MP3 song to the Huawei P20 Pro, you can start using it as the active ringtone in Android.
From the Home screen, open the App menu and the settings. Here you will find the menu item "Sounds ".
In this submenu you can now select the menu item "Sim1 ringtone". A list will now open in which all ringtones currently available on the Huawei P20 Pro are listed.
Switch to the "Music (saved)" tab in the upper right corner. You will now see all MP3 songs stored on the Huawei P20 Pro.
Select an MP3 song to be used as the active ringtone on the Huawei P20 Pro. Confirm this to set the MP3 sound as the active ringtone.
