If you use the iMessage message app on your iPhone, you may want to know whether a contact has read your message or not.
There are so-called read confirmations for this. We would like to explain in more detail how to activate them here:

1. Open the settings.
2. Scroll down to Messages and select the entry
3. Depending on your preference, you can now enable or disable the read receipts here.
To change this per contact, start the iMessage app and open the corresponding message thread.
Tap the "i" icon at the top right, and then turn "Send Read Confirmations" off or on.
